EVERYONE IS INVITED TO VIEW OR JOIN OUR TRADITIONAL JAPANESE JUJUTSU CLASSES!
Japanese jujutsu systems emphasize throwing, immobilizing and pinning, joint-locking, and strangling techniques, compared with other empty-handed fighting systems that use atemiwaza (striking techniques) such as punching, striking, and kicking. Jujutsu is a learned skill or practice. It may take a student more than twenty years to mature and perfect their skills. Jujutsu practitioners use every conceivable technique to win in combat, and train in the use of many potentially fatal moves. Students usually train in a non-competitive environment and are taught break-falling skills to minimize the risk of injury during practice.
We provide our dojo students and visitors with the opportunity to observe and experience the instructional methods of Traditional Japanese Jujutsu in the exact manner it was developed as a martial arts form for Japanese civilians during Japan's Edo period of the late 1800's.
In addition, our Sensei, David Wilson, is the official State of Mississippi representative for Taiho Jutsu instruction.

Heiwashinkai Jujutsu, Inc., remains largely unfunded, so our Sensai pays all uncovered dojo expenses out of his personal disability income.
Due to the lack of continuous funding on all fronts, our Sensai's donations-only lesson program has never paid all the monthly costs of maintaining the dojo, its training equipment, and all reoccurring related expenses, such as electricity and more.
The 2025 dojo funding model now includes a modest $60-per-month donation* for an entire month of individual jujutsu lessons.
2025 now includes the capability for individual and business sponsorships, in addition to a new scholarship program...details for both may be found on our Sponsorships & Scholarships page.
* NOTE: Non-scholarship students who are willing to utilize an autodraft option shall receive a $5-per-month autodraft donation discount
